An assessment report is a piece of paper which summarizes the findings of an assessment. It helps improve internal procedures by highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of an organization. It is typically written by an outside party, but it can also be conducted internally. Assessments are often carried out as part of training and development programs, or as part of a wider company performance review.
Assessment reports should clearly describe what the results of the assessment and the actions taken in light of these results. They should be easy-to-read and incorporate a mix of text and images to convey information. They should also take the organisation’s design principles into account to ensure that they are well-presented and match the brand of the company.
The process of assessing a program is not about determining if students fulfilled the pre-requisite requirements however, it is more about determining how they’ve developed in time and whether the curriculum has succeeded in enhancing student outcomes. Annual academic program assessment reporting is one method of proving this. These reports show that programs are reviewing their curriculum, demonstrating continuous improvement and implementing changes to practice when the results of previous assessments are evaluated.
